The people these days are more conscious about weight. The weight gain is the most disturbing issue for many teenagers. Weight gain is a condition where the body fat is increased. Weight gain is caused either by hormonal imbalance or overeating. Medication side effect can also result in weight gain. The hormonal imbalance is seen mostly in women when compared to men. Regular exercise and healthy diet can help in reducing weight. Aerobics and dance classes play an important role in helping people to lose weight. Zumba dance has shown positive results in losing weight. Zumba is a Latin based aerobic dance form which helps in reducing weight in a short span.Zumba dance is a form of cardio which burns more calories compared to other dance forms. The calorie burn and the weight loss depend on the zumba session per day. Zumba dance shows positive results after a person get used to the routine schedule.

Weight Loss Vs. Weight Gain

Weight loss and weight gain both can result by straining the body more than the required time. The weight gain can also cause many severe health problems in few cases. The weight gain can result in improper functioning of organs leading to death of the person in complicated conditions. A person can lose weight either naturally or by artificially. Natural weight loss occurs by consuming healthy diet and maintaining a healthy life and avoiding stressful conditions. The artificial way of losing weight is by straining the body in gym to do excess work outs. More workouts can be harmful to the body leading to muscle or bone injury. These injuries can be permanent or temporary based on the severity. Weight loss is due to several factors like low immunity, abnormal metabolism and unhealthy diet. The weight loss can be due to factors like surgery, infection and stress. Stress can cause either weight loss or weight gain based on the person’s immune system. A less nutritious diet results in sudden weight loss leading to weakness.

The major risk factors leading to weight gain include the following

  • Unhealthy diet

Unhealthy diet like junk food results in weight gain. Consuming more amounts of carbohydrates results in accumulation of fats in the body.

  • Medication

There are certain supplement drugs which have side effects. The main side effect of in taking artificial supplements is weight gain. These supplements are found naturally in fruits and vegetables. Naturally accumulating these chemical have a positive impact on the body.

  • Over exercise

Gyms are supposed to help people lose weight. People are unaware of the fact that over workout can result in gaining weight and can have many side effects.

  • Stress

Stressful situation can cause weight gain. People who take more stress irrespective of the diet and workout are known to gain more weight. Weight gain due to stress can be reduced only by meditation.

  • Hormonal imbalance

People with thyroid problems face more weight issues. The hormonal fluctuation in the body causes weight gain.

Dancing is a complete body workout which has many benefits like

Dancing helps the person to stay young and healthy. Dancing increase the lifespan of a person by giving energy and strength to the body. Dancing helps the person in looking young.

It is a Latin based aerobic dance that can help losing 300-500 calories per session each day. Zumba dance is a combination of different Latin dance forms like hip-hop. Music is the main core of zumba session after the trainer. Qualified trainers can help you burn more calories and keeps you motivated. Zumba is an interval training session which comprises of both slow and fast dancing moves. The interval training sessions have a positive impact on person’s heart.Zumba focuses on all muscles in the body. It helps in toning your body in the best possible way and strengthens your body by giving proper shape. Zumba classes should be scheduled according to the person’s routine. Complete activeness is required in zumba dance. Lack of interest either from trainer or trainee may show unsatisfactory results or no results at all. Zumba dance can show negative results when not followed properly. The negative results include no weight loss. No weight loss is observed when the classes are not scheduled properly and then there is no consistency in attending the sessions regularly at a specified time. The unhealthy food can also result in increasing weight. Stress levels needs to be controlled during the dance sessions. Dance session should be stress busters and not stress booster. If a person feel stressed during the dance sessions then the results are going to be negative in future.

Educational institutions should also include such dance classes in the institutions for the complete fitness of children. Such classes can be organised in the organisations to relax the workers and helps them being keep motivated.
