Baldness is one of the most common types of hair problems faced by people around the world and mostly men. This is a condition in which a person has either very little or no hair at all on the head.  Its medical or technical name is alopecia and one of the main causes of it is clogging of the hair follicles.

Some of the other reasons of baldness include hormonal changes, hereditary, aging, quick weight loss, scalp infection, trauma, stress, tension, pregnancy, menopause and others. The good news is that in order to treat baldness, you don’t necessarily have to opt for over the counter methods that can be very expensive. Rather, you can use home remedies which too prove to be very beneficial. The following is the list of the effective home remedies for treating baldness.

1. Castor Oil

Castor oil is one of the best home remedies for treating baldness. You can pour a little castor oil onto your palm and gently massage it in your head.  This will help nourish the hair and the scalp and will boost hair growth rapidly.

2. Aloe Vera Gel

Another natural ingredient which works like a wonder for hair growth is aloe Vera gel. Being an herbal plant, this home remedy has no side effects as well. You can apply it directly to your scalp and massage it gently. The enzymes present in aloe Vera gel help to open up the clogged hair follicles and hence promote hair growth.

3. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil massage is the best and easiest way to promote hair growth and treat baldness. All you need to do is to dab a few drops of  this oil on your head and massage thoroughly. You can leave the oil applied on the hair or head overnight and wash it off in the morning for the best results. To improve results, you can also add a few drops of lemon juice in the oil as this helps to reduce dandruff and hair loss.

4. Fenugreek Seeds

These seeds are also found to be effective as far as treating hair loss or baldness is concerned. Grind a few of the seeds to make a paste and then apply that paste on the scalp and the bald patches. Leave it for an hour and then wash off with water.

5. Lemon

Lemon helps to cure dandruff and hair fall and thus prevents baldness and also cures it. You can either apply some lemon juice directly to the bald patches or mix it in hair oils before application. Lemon juice also goes well with aloe Vera gel.

6. Yoghurt

Yoghurt acts like a natural conditioner for the hair and cures hair fall and baldness. Since it is rich in protein content, it is good for the hair in general as well. You can apple some as a head mask and massage the scalp with it for about 15 minutes. Consuming yoghurt on a regular basis too helps to provide relief from hair fall.
