5000 Swine Flu Deaths World Wide

WHOWe have seen earlier how the currently ongoing H1N1 Swine flu virus has been so much more of a killer than the H5N1 Bird Flu virus and now the World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared that about 5000 worldwide have already died from the Swine Flu virus.

This number however is considered to be something of an underestimation according to this Associated Press report, which said, that according to the WHO there were 4,999 total deaths till 18 Oct 09, most of them in the Western Hemisphere.

More and more areas are coming within the sweep of the pandemic with the most recent cases being reported from Iceland, Sudan and Trinidad & Tobago.
