Flu can Trigger Heart Attack

heartattackAccording to a report published by PTI, there is evidence to suggest that flu infections can trigger heart related problems, even heart attack, but that the flu vaccine can help prevent such complications from developing.

This seems to bear out further, the hypothesis that the high risk group of people; i.e., those with cardiovascular disease and diabetes should receive flu vaccines as soon as possible and this is especially important in light of the currently ongoing H1N1 Swine Flu Pandemic.

In India, so far 8,153 cases of swine flu have been confirmed and 257 deaths reported.
