Homeopathy Most Effective Among Alternative Swine Flu Treatments

homeopathy for swine fluThere is much research being done into the matter of providing treatments other than and alternative to Allopathy for the H1N1 Swine Flu pandemic. We have seen how ginger and black pepper, eucalyptus oil and other alternative treatments are being tried out for treating Swine flu. According to some reports, it is homeopathy that is likely to be the most effective alternative treatment for the infection, perhaps even more so than allopathy according to this report.

In one report from the Journal of the American Institute for Homeopathy, in the Swine flu outbreak of 1918, homeopathy had been successfully used. The journal reported that 24,000 cases of flu treated allopathically had a mortality rate of 28.2% while 26,000 cases of flu treated homeopathically had a mortality rate of 1.05%.

Homeopathic formulations, which have no side effects, also alleviate the apprehensions that people have about allopathic medications and more particularly vaccines.  There are several concerns associated with swine flu vaccines such as the remote chance of contracting the Guillain-Barré syndrome, or that the mercury contained in the vaccines may cause autism among children etc.

There is much research currently being done by the homeopathic medical community to try and come up with effective treatments for Swine flu and the attempt to make it easily and commonly available to the public at large. Such research is ongoing in Brazil where homeopathic practitioners are collecting data on the symptoms of swine flu and formulating homeopathic treatments for the symptoms.

The use of homeopathy on a widespread basis by public health care systems is not without precedent even in India: about a decade ago the Indian government distributed one million doses of homeopathic medications to children in Andhra Pradesh as it underwent widespread infection from Japanese encephalitis. This had been seen to provide effective immunity to the infection at the time.
