India’s Swine Flu Death Toll Crosses 500 Mark

Yesterday, as many as 17 deaths were reported as having been caused by the H1N1 Swine flu virus, and 15 of those were reported from the North Western state of Rajasthan. So India’s swine flu death toll has now crossed 500, and stands at 502.
95 new cases of people testing positive for swine flu were reported in the country, taking the total number of people affected with the flu to 14,572.
Maharashtra continues to have the highest swine flu death count with over 200 people dying from the viral infection; 100 of them in Pune alone.
