New Swine Flu Drug Hits Market

With the government permitting retail sale of Anti Swine Flu drugs, more companies are now coming to the fore to supply the demand that there is in the market for combating the H1N1 swine flu virus. The basic formulation of Oseltamivir is available under the various brand names of Fluvir, Tamiflu etc.
Now another brand of Oseltamivir, marketed under the brand name Starflu, is launched by Strides Arcolab Ltd, according to this Economic Times report. The Swine flu drug is available in 75 mg capsules in a strip of 10’s, the maximum retail price for which is Rs 460 per strip.
