In a pandemic such as the currently ongoing H1N1 Swine Flu one, the accent is always on prevention and containment of the virus as far as possible. For this, frequent hand washing is recommended and for when you are not close to a tap and water, a rinse-less hand sanitizer can be used.
A hand sanitizer such as this one, which is made in India claims to kill 99.99% germs and also claims to be cost and time effective. It is also more accessible since it can be carried around anywhere and is particularly recommended for health care workers.
This air disinfection device, claims to filter out germs and make air more healthy and germ free. It claims to be able to eliminate viruses, germs, moulds and spores up to 99.99% in areas where there is a high level of aerial contagion.
It would function much as a mask would in reducing the amount of germs and viruses that one breathes in such as tuberculosis, influenza, diphtheria, which are all air borne.
The machine works by the air being aspirated by the device through noiseless axial fans and it is then submitted to an intense UV-C radiations field trough a patented coil system; the air is purified and ready to be released into the environment, thanks to a continuous change of air.
