Record 220 New H1N1 Cases In India

swine flu1On Monday, record 220 new cases tested positive for swine flu influenza. With these new cases, total number of persons infected with swine flu raised to 1,928.

Ghulam Nabi Azad, Health Minister, advised to avoid morning assemblies in schools. According to the sources, new guidelines will be issued, where it will make compulsory for class teachers to check each student with swine flu symtpoms.

In 220 new cases, Mumbai reported 90 cases followed by Pune with 42 cases. Chennai reported 20 cases, Bangalore 11, Ahmedabad 16, Delhi 7 and Kolkata 3.

Upto now, 9,904 individuals have been tested and in that 1,928 have been found positive for H1N1 virus. Out of these, 703 patients have been cured and discharged.
