Spicy Indian Curries keep Swine Flu at bay

According to Russian doctors eating hot and spicy Indian curries could help strengthen immunity and keep the H1N1 Swine flu virus at bay. Apparently this can prevent Swine flu as well as other common ailments such as cough and cold.
“You can strengthen immunity by consuming spicy foods like curries, as spices like turmeric, ginger and zeera also possess excellent therapeutic effects,” an unnamed official of Moscow city sanitary and anti-epidemics committee was quoted as saying in this article.
In Russia people have also been advised to eat raw garlic and onions which are also known to possess natural antiviral properties.
