Swine Flu Toll in India Touches 300

India Swine FluAccording to this AFP report, the official number of those who have died from the H1N1 Swine flu infection in India is now more than 300.

The first fatality resulting from the virus was reported on 3 August and now in the end of September the toll have gone up to 300.

The total number infected in the country is over 10,000 now. Apart from those who have succumbed to their infection, 9,871 people have tested positive for swine flu who are either undergoing treatment or have recovered.

Maharashtra still has the highest number of fatalities from swine flu, with 118 deaths.
