Take Swine Flu Seriously AP Party Warns

The Andhra Pradesh based Loksatta Party has come out in criticism of the state government alleging that the authorities are not taking the Swine Flu and its possible fall outs seriously. There was a reference made by representatives of the party to the statement of the Union health minister that one third of the country’s population was likely to be affected by the H1N1 Swine Flu virus.

The party spokesperson spoke about the need for massive procurement of drugs which are indigenously produced and import of anti swine flu vaccines from abroad to take the threat head on. The Government should prioritize the distribution of drugs so that the most vulnerable were attended to first, as reported here.
